Born in 1979, now living near Hamburg.
Bernard‘s compositions often originate in a maritime environment. Whether it is coastal life, holiday-like settings or on ships in port or at sea.
As a former seaman, Bernard is documenting the shipping industry from within using 35mm and 120mm film both colour and black&white most of the time.
He is able to capture the aesthetics of every day scenes on board, the beauty of daily routines and the human element on ships rarely illustrated this way.
